William Wijaya, as we know by the name of DJ w.W started his DJ career not so long ago, in 2005 when he was still at the young age of 19 years old. Just recently he joined a big production called Trigger Production, where he shares his passion for music that drove him all the way up to where he is now. After rockin' the Indo HipHop club scene, from Jakarta to Bandung all the way to the Islands of Gods (Bali), for more than 6 years now, he has become well known as one of the finest HipHop DJs in Jakarta.
w.W has shared the decks with big names like the Godfather of HipHop DJ GRANDMASTER FLASH, DJ JAZZY JEFF, DJ CASH MONEY, A-TRAK, DJ SPINNA, DJ SHORTEE BLITZ (UK), DJ Irwan Kartosen (Holland), DJ Moto (Sydney), just to name a few.. He has rocked the decks with his unique style at clubs like Retro, Bliss, Manna House, Liquid Room, Babyface, Blowfish Jakarta & Surabaya, Dragonfly, Equinox, Vertigo & X-Lounge, Centro, Pure, Embassy Jakarta & Bandung, Coyote Surabaya, Entrance Medan, Mbargo Bali, The Cave Bali, Eikon Bali, No Name Batam, Rebel-Zirca Singapore, Rootz Kuala Lumpur, & the list will go on.
In the year of 2008 he became a semi-resident at a big venue, with big name: Blowfish. After a year of rockin' Blowfish, he has become trusted to fully represent Blowfish and to be their resident main DJ, where he spins his exclusive set there weekly for their HipHop, RnB nights.
He also played at big events including the Blowfish WareHouse Project 2008, Djakarta Warehouse Project 2010, The Launching for the Serato Video SL, and many more.. His DJ career didn't only go to the club scene, but he also took his Talent to the Radio, being a Radio DJ at Mustang 88FM..
2009 was a great year for w.W. as Trigger Production expanded their horizons with the launch of a new Homebase in Sydney, Australia. w.W was trusted to fly down all the way to Australia to represent Trigger Production Indonesia and spin at several large night clubs in various cities in Australia, like Sydney, Brisbane, and Gold Coast, just to name a few.
In January 2010 Free! Magazine awarded DJ w.W as Best Resident 2009
In September 2010 DJ w.W flew back to Australia for his 2nd Australia Tour and spun in Sydney (Vbar & Slide Bar), Melbourne (Number5) & Adelaide (Lavish)
